Im Rahmen der Kooperation der Gigabit Region Stuttgart, einer gemeinsamen Gesellschaft der Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung Region Stuttgart GmbH, der Stadt Stuttgart und den Landkreisen B\u00f6blingen, Esslingen, G\u00f6ppingen, Ludwigsburg und Rems-Murr, wird der Breitbandausbau in Stuttgart und der Umgebung vorangetrieben. Die Gigabit Region unterst\u00fctzt die Stadt Stuttgart bei der Koordination des Ausbaus, der Zusammenarbeit mit Telekommunikationsunternehmen und der Abwicklung von F\u00f6rderverfahren.

Kooperationen f\u00fcr den Glasfaserausbau
<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Ein zentraler Baustein der Ausbaustrategie der Region und der Stadt Stuttgart ist die Kooperation mit der Deutschen Telekom. Dadurch konnten in den letzten Jahren \u00fcber 120.000 Haushalte in Stuttgart mit Glasfaser erschlossen werden. Demn\u00e4chst wird zudem die OXG Glasfaser GmbH, ein Tochterunternehmen von Vodafone und Altice, umfangreiche Ausbauma\u00dfnahmen in Stuttgart durchf\u00fchren. Beide Unternehmen arbeiten im sogenannten \u201eOpen Access\u201c und \u00f6ffnen ihr Netz somit auch f\u00fcr andere Telekommunikationsunternehmen. Die Endkunden haben damit die M\u00f6glichkeit, zwischen verschiedenen Internetanbietern zu w\u00e4hlen. F\u00fcr den Ausbau besonders schlecht versorgter Adressen (sogenannte \u201ewei\u00dfe Flecken\u201c) nimmt die Stadt Stuttgart zudem an den F\u00f6rderverfahren von Bund und Land teil.<\/p>\n

Steigerung der Anschlussquote<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Trotz der schwierigen Topographie und Siedlungsstruktur f\u00fcr den Glasfaserausbau konnte die Glasfaserquote in den letzten Jahren erheblich gesteigert werden. Waren 2019 nur rund 2 % der Stuttgarter Haushalte mit Glasfaser erschlossen, ist die Quote bis 2024 auf 35 % gestiegen. Bis 2030 sollen mindestens 90 % der Haushalte in Stuttgart an ein Glasfasernetz angeschlossen sein.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
